Bell Tower Completed for First Puzzles

Thanks to everyone who has watched my last six (!) streams! We've put together a huge amount of work on Fluff's first level, it's just been insane. The last streams all have the same theme: the bell tower, which is supposed to serve as a basis for the first puzzles and on which Fluff is supposed to build up his brain matter (if Fluff even has such a thing).

Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone who has watched my last six (!) streams! We’ve put together a huge amount of work on Fluff’s first level, it’s just been insane. The last streams all have the same theme: the bell tower, which is supposed to serve as a basis for the first puzzles and on which Fluff is supposed to build up his brain matter (if Fluff even has such a thing).

I have already created a first draft in an earlier stream. Here again the starting point for the modeling in the streams:

The following six streams turn this rough model into a really nice looking bell tower that ties in nicely with the theme of the first level (named in good Fast & Furious fashion because I felt like it was getting out of hand in between):

The result is really impressive! I have to say that I’ve never worked on a model as complex as this one. Take a look at it:

Fluff has already found his favorite window
The tower from the inside. The translucent light has been created with extra meshes

Many of the objects in the bell tower should look a little worn. To model this easily, you can use Blender’s Geometry Nodes. This was definitely something new for me, but it was so worth it. Here’s a link to the video on the Artisans of Vaul channel, which provides a great explanation of the topic:

Conclusion

The last few streams were lengthy, but definitely worth it. With our bell tower, we can now set about creating the first puzzles. It also brought me a significant step closer to completing the first level! Many thanks to everyone who watched and supported me. In the next streams, I’m sure there will be more great modeling projects to tackle, so just follow me on Twitch or Discord to see the level continue to grow!
